Born and raised in New York, my yoga journey began in 2009. After suffering from a back injury, I started exploring different yoga classes at the gym. Along with my discovery of yoga, I also attended The Institute of Culinary Education and received my Culinary Arts & Management degree. Food and yoga quickly became my two passions.
After a few years of bouncing in and out of kitchens, I found myself on the purchasing side of the food industry. Stress and anxiety became much of my daily life but Yoga balanced me out. My mat met me exactly where I was, it always does. I started to focus on my breath and being fully present in class. Instead of holding my breath, I let the breath guide me into each pose, it became a moving meditation; a dance of the soul.
In 2015, I decided to commit to a 200 hour yoga teacher training in Vinyasa with Yoga Medicine, lead by Tiffany Cruikshank. It was a truly amazing spiritual journey of vulnerability and self discovery. The training kindled my passion to guide others on their own journeys and ignite their true self with confidence and joy! I share from my heart and through my classes you will laugh, play and flow into bliss.
Though I left the kitchen behind, I wanted to be able to blend my two passions together. From there, Bend and Brunch was born. Bend and Brunch is an energizing, fun yoga class followed by a delicious brunch spread. Adding my love of travel into the mix, my fiancé and I created Wanderlove Escapes; hosting yoga retreats with an emphasis on unique adventures in breathtaking destinations.
At the current moment my husband and I are stuck in Indonesia on our much longer than anticipated honeymoon! Will let you know once I return back on the islands!
